Aeromech Technologies has developed a special dedicated setup for Outer Diameter grinding of cylinder tubes through a Centerless grinding application with automation. A mechanical machine is converted to a CNC machine which is complete in all respects with the incoming and outgoing automation for the component transfer.

A special software package is being developed to facilitate an user-friendly grinding application. Auto dressing of main grinding wheel and regulating wheel has been provided with a feedback monitoring and correction mechanism. Auto position of the work rest blade suitable for various diameters of the tube have been provided which is programmable and settable in a very short setup time. Auto positioning of the automation for various diameters of the tube have been provided which is can be programmed and set by an unskilled operator. This application is suitable for high volume production of OD grinding on the cylinder tubes to achieve a very good accuracy on the cylinder tube.
